Manufacturing Engineer-Senior AutomotiveOur client is a tier one supplier to automotive manufacturers and is seeking a top notch Manufacturing Engineer. We prefer a degreed engineer (BSME, BSIE or equivalent) who is experienced in working to support manufacturing, preferably in an automotive or related manufacturer. You will design, trouble shoot and purchase various manufacturing equipment, PLC's etc. You would also take a leading role in process improvements using lean manufacturing (or six sigma) principles. Strong project management skills are needed for this senior position. You will need good communication skills as you work cross functionally between production, engineering, maintanence, tool room, quality and department managers to improve processes. You will work to reduce set up times, reduce scrap, do work cell analysis, product flow while providing production support, etc. Also you will work with the engineering team to support new product introductions and model changes.
