ControllerOur client is a growing publically traded Company in Kentucky who is seeking a Controller. This is a new position as currently all Accounting functions are outsourced. We are looking for an experienced person who can set up accounting systems and create the needed financial controls. Experience in Peachtree or similar accounting software is needed. This position will currently be the highest level accounting person for US operations, reporting locally to the VP of Operations with a dotted line to a Corporate Financial Controller. The Controller will be responsible for budgeting, payroll, and all other accounting, tax preparation, purchase order system, financial statements, and the like. The Controller will also work with budgetary controls and cash flow management. With the growth of the Company the Controller will be responsible for multiple sites (which could be in other States) and possibly multiple Companies. We are seeking: * A degreed (Accounting preferred) person with minimum of 4 years experience, ideally in a start up business. * A person who can multi-task and can be comfortable being a hands Manager * Must be experienced and knowledgeable in setting up accounting systems and their associated controls within accepted accounting standards and principles. * Possess solid verbal and written business communication skills * Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization * Possess high business ethic and integrity * Experience with Peachtree and similar accounting software * Ability and desire to grow with the Company * Some supervisory experience is preferred This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing company at the ground level and make a profound impact on the business.
