Industrial Sales-Territory Rep

Our client seeks an experienced Industrial Sales Representative to manage the territory of Kentucky, S. Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. This person will take over an established territory with a solid book of business, but will be responsible for generating new business as well.

The most successful person will be a confident, experienced sales professional who has experience calling on manufacturers, enjoys working from a home based office and knows how to generate and maintain new customers sales and have proven successful experience closing your sales! This is a tangible product, necessary for many (non-food) consumer products, including electrical, appliance, automotive, etc.

You must have experience selling industrial products, although 'technical' experience is not necessary.

A combination of experience and higher education is needed to call on decision makers of businesses. Also you need to be assertive but patient, in order to develop and build the relationships needed to complete a business to business sale. This position has sales support, so there are inside (corporate) people taking care of the orders and managing much of the paper work. Naturally you need excellent communication skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to start at a base guarantee of 50k, with car allowance, travel expenses, benefits, training and sales support. Laptop, cell phone, internet etc. provided for your home office.

An experienced sales rep will be making over 100k in commission in 18-24 months. You need to already live in the territory you serve (preferably Lexington/Louisville area).
