Vice President, Marketing

Our client is seeking a top executive responsible for setting product marketing strategy and supporting growth, profitable sales across consumer product client’s entire portfolio.  Exciting, fast-paced, growing, global company focus on wellness and natural innovative products in emerging agribusiness.

Reporting to CEO will lead the consumer marketing team, develop strategies and implement marketing best practices, oversee planning, budgeting, financial analysis and maximize performance through process improvement.  VP will lead and mentor marketing staff, plus product development, market analytics, compliance, trade shows and creative design staff. We are looking for that rock star with a track record of consumer and market research,  strong project leadership, innovation and multi-level disciplinary collaboration in consumer-packaged goods, such as pharmaceuticals, nutrition and supplements, food or beverage, cosmetics

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  1. Product Strategy / Consumer Research. Lead and support the strategic direction, design, and execution of measurement of all consumer-oriented marketing strategies and activities to deliver on the brand's objectives. Lead an integrated marketing strategy and budget. Identify emerging trends in consumer preferences using third-party data, surveys, focus groups, transaction data, and other research. Generate ideas for products that delight end-users and drive profits. Formulate end-user profiles, positioning, talking points and pricing to inform branding efforts. 

 

  1. Product Management. Monitor product performance, tracking brand awareness, sales volume and gross contribution. Use Key Performance Indicators to drive accountability and to inform further product development.

 

  1. Branding & Sales Support. Collaborate with sales teammates to optimize brand support and adherence. Develop, manage and measure promotional campaigns and channel incentives to drive revenue, profitability and awareness.

 

  1. Product Development. Oversee the New Product Development process, including new product ideas and prioritization, by leveraging insights into consumer and sales channels preferences, and by collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts.

 

  1. Digital Marketing. Direct, develop, implement manage and measure messaging moments and opportunities across company’s digital presences. Engage with internal partners to promote strategic direction. Increase brand awareness within the digital space while driving website traffic and activating new customers/leads/partnerships.

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong interest in existing and emerging agribusiness products.
  • Seven or more years of work experience leading marketing in consumer-packaged goods
  • Consumer Research & Marketing: research and analysis, using a variety of data sources; customer segmentation; product positioning and pricing; promotions and channel incentives
  • Multi-tasking Project Management:  such as regulatory compliance, food science, chemical engineering, creative design, brand ambassadors, regulatory compliance and packaging.
  • Product Management: familiarity with key financial metrics and the ability to drive accountability with KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate a compelling business strategy and a corresponding action plan and, with limited guidance, build consensus and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and responsive, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and managing multiple, concurrent work streams.
  • Can pass criminal background checks typically required by state regulations.

Compensation & Location. Compensation will be based on qualifications and will include a base salary and bonus, and more. Relocation is provided.
